Best Big Sister

Alivia, day 6
Rewinding back to the weekend, we had a lot of visitors. The most fun, of course, was Josie being able to come and be the big sister.  On her first visit, the day the babies were born, she wasn't able to touch them.  On Saturday she was able to give them some love.

She really thought Alivia would love her Jessie doll, but alas, Alivia was sleepy.

As lively as J is, I'm sure the babes are going to love having her as a big sister. We all can't wait for them to come home!

Both girls are now in isolettes to help them keep their body temps up. Alivia unfortunately failed her open crib test the other day. But we're assured this is normal and they just need a few more days and we'll try again.  There's no need to force them on this milestone, as we still have plenty of time until they gain the weight necessary to come home.  If I were them, I'd want to sleep snug in the isolettes as long as I could too!

  1. Wierd question- do you and Ed ever feel regret now for adopting Josie now that you had your own kids?

  2. I'm sorry the anon poster felt the need to leave such a ridiculous question above. Anon - Josie is very much their 'own kid.'

Beautiful amazing pictures. Josie looks happy beyond words to see her baby sisters. Zoe has a little Jessie doll like that, too -- she's taking a nap with her right now :)

  3. Thanks Wendy, I think some just don't understand. It's a love unlike any other, so to answer that question - never in a million years.

  6. Congratulations! They are so beautiful and it looks like they are doing really well. I'm looking forward to hearing that they are home. It looks like that could be any time if they are gaining weight and doing great. Yay! Josie looks pleased as punch to have two little sisters. It's a big adjustment but it looks like she is doing great as well. Having your parents so close will be a big help. I'm sure they are looking forward to cuddling the littles and will be able to give Josie some extra TLC as well. I can't wait to see all of the updates on AA&J. :)
