Last weekend we made our inaugural trip to the zoo. Although the weather proved to be not exactly ideal, we still had a great time checking out what was new at the zoo this year.
Josie, thrilled (Ed, not so much) to see a new train ride - highlight of the trip for her, I'm sure. And always proving an interesting time, a walk through the bird sanctuary... parakeets galore just waiting for a little person to come in and feed them. How those birds survive all the tantrums, little hands and little feet chasing and screaming after them - I do not know.
I even packed a lunch and had plans to walk over to the beach afterwards, but the crummy overcast and cool weather sent us packing earlier than planned. But a good intro to our Summer scheduling!
