We're getting close to the 4 month mark, and can't believe it. This is going to be a busy week! Josie has her 4 month doctors appointment on Wednesday, and we can't wait to see what the doc has to say. We're guessing she's pushing 15lbs, we'll see!
It's been a fun week with with Josie Pie. She's changed a lot in just the last few days. And the drool, my gosh, the DROOL. We go through just about all our bibs in one day just to keep her from being soaked all the way through! Annnd to compound the problem, a runny nose. Those idicators would lead one to think that maybe she is teething, but I've checked - no signs of little teeth in there yet! I know we're in for many more months of drool, someone HELP ME! :)
The other big thing this week is her hand eye coordination is really something to talk about :) Josie has perfected taking her pacifier in and out of her mouth, and if it's close, nudging it back in if she loses it. We're also impressed by her bottle skills! Meaning, she'll take her hands and pull the bottle away when she needs a break and pulls it back up to the birdie mouth when she's ready again. It's the small things that are pretty darn exciting around here. Oh, and 3 month sizes, YIKES, are getting tight, looks like 6 month jammies, here we come!
Then there's naps. UGH. I don't know what's made them change, but she'll no longer go down all by herself in her crib and nap. Maybe for a few minutes, then it's crying and looking to be soothed. We've tried letting her cry for a little bit, with marginal success... but the only thing working right now is to hold her and cuddle. Otherwise, there's NO NAP. So for now, I think I can manage cuddling my girl 2 times a day and kicking back and watching tv. Maybe she has the sniffles or a touch of a cold and just needs a little more comfort than usual.
i am about moved to tears. you two look beautiful. i am so happy for you. lots of love! oh...and the drool will pass!
