11 Months Old
11 Months old. Wow. Walking, talking in fluent baby babble. Eating all big people food, only one, maybe two bottles a day. Dancing to the beat of any fun song. Starting to toss aside the pacifier and opting for the thumb. Loves to see mama and dada after a long day apart. Hardly seems possible, but smiles about 90% of the day. Love for Mickey Mouse is slowing diminishing, but it's still there. Loves to find the house plants and put her fingers in the dirt, put her little Hello Kitties in there too... and sometimes it's pretty tasty too. Has become great pals with Emmie and Ernie. Loves her Cheerios and sweet peas. Still 2 to 3 naps per day and sleeps through each and every night! love you bunches baby :)

Room to Roam
Now that Josie is on the go, it's nice to have plenty of room for her to roam about where ever she wants. For quite a while, her room (of all places) was off limits to play... we had many little things that needed baby proofing before we could just let her play, so I'm happy to say we've checked off the list, from outlet covers to anchoring her bookcase to the wall, and now she has this sweet little (safe) place to talk to her animals and read her books.

With More Confidence...
With each step she's getting a little more sure of the next. It's amazing how each day she's adding a few more steps and a whole lot more confidence as she goes. We're so proud :) Walking at 10 months and 2 weeks.
This next photo is what I hope to be a regular series of watching her grow from year to year.
And that means we're already looking forward to the big O N E coming up much much sooner than we hoped, but are excited to greet this milestone and see what's next. We've been practicing with Josie, "who's going to be ONE???" and we think she's getting pretty close to holding up a 1 each time. Photos to come soon.
In the mean time, we're having a lovely perfect summer weekend. No where to be but right here, enjoying the heat as much as possible... yesterday we went on a 23 mile bike ride, the same exact ride we took the day we got the call that a baby girl was born. We pedaled past the exact spot the phone rang on that day, a little old white farm house. There was an older couple setting up a little road side table selling freshly picked corn - in the EXAXT spot we stood... made us smile and we kept on our journey. Hard to believe we're coming up on one year already!

Family Picnic
Our annual family picnic + hottest day of the year = sweaty fun day! We look forward to our family picnic every year, and much like everything else this last year - it was even more fun now that we have Josie. It was fun introducing her to family that we haven't seen in the past year, and fun to catch up with everyone. To keep cool, we brought baby pools to the party and it proved to be a whole lot of fun for more than just the babies...
By the afternoon, we had our fill of treats and sun and headed home to get out of the sun and heat. We're showered and really appreciating the air conditioning this evening. Josie is down to bed and out like a light after such a busy day!
